Most of us probably never know what the exact figure of our IQ is, and that is ok, we don’t really need to.
But there are valid reasons for thinking about your IQ level and how you might increase it, even as an adult who no longer has to worry about school or exams.
Our brain functioning is essential to our quality of life. How sharp our brain is dictates our happiness, relationships, careers, and even our physical health. If we let our brain functioning decline, we will see all of these aspects of our lives decline with it.
So, on that note, let’s see how you can increase this essential IQ level as an adult.
Read regularly

Reading is the shortcut to healthy brain function. If you read regularly, regardless of what kind of content it is that you read, it will help your brain stay sharp and you can even increase its functioning and performance.
Read every day and your IQ will definitely increase over time.
Eat well
Your food habits dictate your brain performance. If you eat junk, your brain will be inhibited in its power and it won’t achieve high levels of cognition.
If you want to increase your IQ, try eating a balanced diet including lots of greens and Omega-3. Stay away from processed sugar, alcohol and caffeine as much as you can, too, and you will see a noticeable increase in your brainpower.
Sleep well

Sleep is key for our brains. Sleep is when we cement and organise all the information that we learn throughout the day and without good, healthy sleep we cannot commit things to memory. We also simply cannot function as well if we are tired.
We need 6-8 hours of restful sleep each night to keep ourselves healthy and keep our IQs at a high level.
Meditate
Meditation is a great way to keep our brains in tip-top shape,
Studies have shown that meditation has a direct effect on brainpower and IQ levels. If you meditate regularly, ideally for a short time each day, your brain will be in a healthy and robust condition.
You will also be much calmer and it is always much easier to think clearly and coherently when you feel calm and balanced.
Meditation is great for you in a multitude of ways and it only takes a couple of minutes each day.
Learn a new language

Learning a new language as an adult really helps your brain stay strong and healthy. It can increase your IQ, your memory, and even your skills and performance in your own native language.
Learning a second language has even been proven to stave off brain conditions developing such as Alzheimer’s.
It’s pretty fun too.
Play an instrument
Playing an instrument is a conditioning and strengthening activity for your brain, just as going to the gym is for your body.
If you are handy with any instrument at all, spending some time each week noodling on it will help you strengthen your brain and increase your IQ.
It works out well that lots of the things that increase your IQ are a lot of fun too, doesn’t it?
What method will you try?
