Because as Officer Rodriguez entered the room, her expression was grave. She informed Danny that during the search of his house, they found a crowbar in the living room. It appeared to have been recently used. This discovery and Danny’s lack of an alibi made his situation even worse. Danny’s chances of convincing the officers he was not the burglar seemed to fade as he had no evidence to prove his innocence.
