Harold stood on his driveway and looked at the sinkhole in shock. His playful kid ran around the hole with more excited energy, but Harold stopped it. “Get away from there, boy. Come over here. We don’t know when this hole will stop collapsing.” Harold’s son understood and ran toward his father, who had put himself at a safe distance. He held his son close and mumbled. “How is this possible?”
