Mr. Thompson made a pointing gesture toward the seat in front of him. It caught Sarah off guard. She never sat down with a customer before, but something about Mr. Thompson made her listen. She sat down in the empty restaurant, still looking a bit nervous. “This is very unprofessional, Mr. Thompson,” Sarah whispered. But the old man just quietly pushed a cup of coffee toward the waitress and started talking.
