He asked what number the neighbor used to contact the exterminators. She looked in her phone and presented Carl with the devious company’s phone number, and Carl wasted no time after receiving it. He dialed the number on his own device and heard his phone ring. There was just over a minute of constant ringing without anyone answering. But then, finally, the trap bore fruit. The exterminator company answered, and everyone listened in.
