The owl carefully crawled out of its hiding space and climbed onto Kevin’s arm, reaching the top to settle down on his shoulder. It was an imposing sight; the owl was scary but beautiful, and in Kevin’s presence, it was completely calm. “What is happening, son? Who is this owl?”
