Loose boulders
To actually reach the source of the screams, Carl had to climb up the mountain at least 120 feet. The path he was on would take him there. It zig-zagged up the mountainside, but the path was treacherous. Loose boulders came tumbling down every few minutes as he shimmied up the steep wall.
