First, the flip-flops were pushed back towards Edward. But as Edward kept persisting and putting the flip-flops back at his feet, the boy finally accepted. He put them on, and Edward let out a sigh of relief. He had done a good thing today. But then the boy said something that gave Edward goosebumps all over.
