“See, there is nothing to be scared about,” the staff member said, in that gentle voice as before. She gestured for Ella to come closer, and the little girl crouched down beside her. Ella had seen what the woman had done, and it looked simple, but still, her heart was pounding. She stretched out her arm and closed her eyes at the same time. “Tell me when I’m close to the lion,” she said.
