John had promised his mother that he would take care of Eunice, but her stubbornness and his studies had put him in a difficult spot. The peculiar smell, as Mrs. Rodriguez described it, worried him, though. So he thanked Mrs. Rodriguez for her concern and out-of-the-box thinking. And he promised to take immediate action with her. They decided to confront Eunice together.
