He carefully placed the key into the keyhole on the wall, and with a satisfying click, the wall began to slide open. John’s heart raced as he stepped inside, unsure of what he would find. The room was dark, illuminated only by a single flickering candle. In the center of the room, there was a table with several leather-bound books, a map, and a lot of scientific equipment.
