Max rubbed his ear, “It feels better now that it’s out,” he said, still looking a little shaken. The doctor nodded, “That’s good. Now, I need to take this object to the lab for testing. I want to find out what it is and how it ended up in your ear,” he said, addressing Max directly. Max nodded, still a little bewildered by the whole experience.
